Solstice & Equinox Days 2026
Try to arrive 15 minutes before the event to ensure beginning on time.
After introductions, we will start a light hike between 1-2 miles. Do not worry about the duration, as we will stop plenty of times in between to appreciate nature and do activities.
The hike will include a seasonally themed grounding exercise representing that season. These are fun, encouraging and creative activities.
Afterwards, a forest bathing session will start, also known as shinrin-yoku, where you will be invited to deepen your senses into your surroundings and reflect.
Light chairs for activities that require sitting, along a special beverage and treat will be provided.
For each event, please ensure you have the following:
A small backpack for your essentials
1L bottle of water, or more if needed
Additional snacks if you wish
Proper hiking shoes or boots
Attire for the weather, warm layers for winter or rain gear for a rainy day
A journal if you wish you write you reflections down
"My September retreat with Katie was nothing but magical, grounding, fun and an overall incredible way to spend my weekend. A beautiful campsite created a magical space for the morning and evening ceremonies by the fire with delicious meals, journaling, meditations, and lots of great conversations and laughs. I can’t thank Katie enough for the beautiful, loving, safe and grounding space she provided me during our trip."
"I always thought I had a decent routine until Katie's guidance pushed me further, and enabled me to not only spend more time in nature, but also assess philosophy and literature that put the “big picture” into perspective as well. There’s more to it than just the satisfaction of getting yourself outside"
"Katie's background in outdoor leadership and education makes her course grounded, inspiring, and meaningful. It helped me step out of my busy life to reconnect with the natural rhythms inside and outside of myself."
